How can i locate the Power Pads on a MacBook Pro A1398

My mac will no longer power up via the keyboard. I have taken the back off and have it before me with the fans at the bottom and the batteries at the top. How can I jump-start the Mac ?

I have tried to find the Power Pads but to no avail.

I have also read about shorting pins #5 and #29 of the keyboard cable but unsure where this is and which pins exactly to short.

My question is how to start the Mac using either method above or another.

Unless you have some specific need for the power pads, I suggest plugging a charger. This is all it needs to power up.

And it will boot without peripherals such as keyboard or trackpad.

If it does boot without them, then fail to boot with any of them, you would know you have a suspect.

All due respect] to Machead3 (an excellent contributor), this model does in fact have power-on pads (you by-passed the problem... so this is for future readers of the posting). Take a look at the pic. Here you go... This is a Mid 2012, but I know for a fact (because I opened up my personal early 2013) the pads are in the same place. Sorry if the pic isn't too clear.

I managed to do this shortly after posting the question. Shorting PIN 5 of the keyboard connector (5th from right with the batteries at the top) with GROUND works. However I could only get it to work with the screen opened.
