Where are the Thunderbolt segments?

I've been looking around for a few weeks now and still dont see any Thunderbolt adapters, like a SATA/eSATA adapter or anything similar, is it still too soon ? i just havent seen anything on Newegg or anywhere else.

What happened is a cable was inserted which for some reason snagged the connectors contact (which is what you are seeing). So basically the connector is broken ;-{

Now the fun part replacing the connector! As it turns out the connectors are fastened onto the main logic board. Here you can see them:

Here is the back side of the board

It’s a lot of work to get these off and you can’t buy them as they are a custom part. Which is why you end up needing to replace the complete logic board.

I would go to a Apple Store and have them do it as you should be able to ask for the bench fee (flat rate) plus parts costs which should be the cheapest you can go.

The Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) ports on your MacBook Pro support Thunderbolt 3 devices at speeds up to 40 Gbps when you use a Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C to USB-C) cable. You can also connect Thunderbolt and Thunderbolt 2 devices using the Apple Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter at maximum speeds of 20 Gbps. ThunderBolt-3 is an uncommitted computer port that can do almost anything, with the right cables/adapters. Your choice of cable/adapter specializes the port to one particular purpose, usually more narrow than its native capability.
